Several hundred journals, blogs, and websites populate my daily reading list. Below is not a complete reading list by any means, but rather the individuals and groups I read regularly or am fortunate enough to call my friends. The internet can be a lonely place, and you can do worse than surrounding your online life with good, smart people.
Friends
- Springbored’s Springboard - The anonymous Springbored has more naval knowledge in his left pinky than my entire body. He probably plays a mean game of battleship.
- SWJ Blog
- The New Security Beat
- Chris Blattman’s Blog - Chris is one of those rare academics still trying to save the world through a combination of good research and social awareness. I, for one, would not mind if he succeeded.
- Global Health and Foreign Policy Blog
- MountainRunner - Matt’s work offers the rare mix of solid analysis and originality. His blog is should be a “must read” for students of international security. He is also a nice guy to boot.
- Politics & Soccer
- Danger Room - A Wired writer with a wicked sence of humor, Noah brings a good mix of through provoking articles and light hearted blog posts.
- WSI Brussels Blog
- Civil-Military Relations - International consultant extraordinaire. I narrowly missed meeting Raj for a beer in Geneva. I will catch him next time.
