I think of War & Health as ‘many-books-in-progress’. Specifically, the blog is a compilation of notes, theories, and observations on the interrelationship between armed conflict and public health.

I work from two basic assumptions. First, the relationship between population health and armed conflict is both a public health and political phenomena. Second, understanding this relationship requires drawing on both disciplines.

Informed by these assumptions, War & Health formalizes my research notes through almost-daily short articles on the topic. I do not rant or rave. I try not to diverge onto tangents. I do not write about my pets. I do not discuss American politics. But, I do make a concerted effort to connect research with policy and encourage feedback.

Happy reading.
